One example of the victims in sudan civil war was The Lost Boys. They are around 20,000 boys from the Nuer and the Dinka ethnic group in South Sudan which had survived from the civil war and are now orphanage because all of their parents are killed when the government troops attacked the villages they lived in. And they had travelled for thousand of miles across three countries bare footed trying to find a safe refuge and ending up in Ethiopia and Kenya. Over half of the Lost Boys died in their journey, due to starvation, Dehydration, attacked from the wild animals, and from the enemy soldiers. One of The Lost Boys that survived was Peter. Peter and his friends were given a chance to go to America and learn so, they were expected to be the future of Sudan. When he first arrived Peter was struggling with many problems like racism and money. But after all his struggled he had did what he had dreamed to, which was graduation. And his friend Santino didn't graduate but, wanted to go back and give electricity to the refugee camp he once lived in. But, some kid didn't did what they were expected to because when they had money they were attracted to it than any other things. And later on, they forgot about what they had promised to their people in the refugees camps. While some did what was told and came back to help. Not only the boys was effected by the civil war but, also the women. Women are raped from the Janjaweed and killed.
